Deanne Underwood
Deanne danced and toured internationally as a soloist with the Goh Ballet
in Vancouver for two years. While in Vancouver she studied for her Solo Seal
examination as a scholarship student with Ms. Lynnette Kelley, ARAD. At the
School of Toronto Dance Theatre she trained as a comtemporary dancer and began
her “modest career as a choreographer”. Her favourite experience
while at the school was working with the Grossman company and dancing the
mother in Danny Grossman's Endangered Species. Deanne also participated in
Christopher Houses' first installment of the company's summer series dance
intensive, and while in Toronto performed in several independent dance projects
during the summer, including the annual "dusk dances" series. While
studying to become a registered massage therapist in Saskatoon she continued
to perform as an independent soloist. Currently Deanne works at River Valley
Health as an RMT specializing in sports related injury rehabilitation and
deep tissue massage.
